My name is Brett Butler, a professional wedding DJ and musician from Brighton with an absolute passion for music.

I love anything from classical to the latest dance tracks.  If I was to list the many genres I like then this would be a very long page! I’m just as happy playing something by the Small Faces as I am playing something by Rihanna, if it rocks, it rocks!

There is an amazing amount of great music out there, it’s just a shame we can’t fit it all in to one night but I always fit in as much as possible.

I am a total believer that the music should do the talking and I’m not a DJ that will give you Peter Kaye style – cheesy Phoenix Nights banter all night long, just the all important announcements and lot’s of great music.

As a DJ I don’t just turn up and play music, through the week I’m also out visiting clients, chatting on the phone or the email months in advance to make sure we have everything right.

I absolutely love DJ’ing and make sure that the equipment I use is of a high quality. For my disco I use Denon, Deltec, Dell, QTX, American Audio, Sennheiser, Abstract, Acme & Martin.

I am a member of the South Eastern Discotheque Association (SEDA) and attend DJ seminars, meetings and other events throughout the country. This keeps me up to date in everything disco, I have gained a lot of good DJ friends through SEDA and we help each other out when needed.

I have £10 million Employers Liability, £10 million Public & Products Liability insurance, I pay tax on my business, I am Pro Dub compliant which means I can legally shift music format from one device to another, and all of my equipment is PAT tested, so you can see that I take my DJ’ing work seriously.
